What Does a Birthday Party Look Like at Steele's Brushes and Ceramics?

Here’s a breakdown of how your special day might unfold if your party starts at 11:30 AM:

11:10 AM: Arrive up to 20 minutes early to set up and get ready to welcome your guests.
-
11:30–11:45 AM: We’ll kick things off with a quick introduction and instructions on how to use the paints for your chosen project.
-
12:00–12:15 PM: This is a great time to bring out your snacks—pizza, chips, or whatever treats you’ve brought!
-
12:30–12:45 PM: We’ll check in to make sure everyone is doing well and help your guests start wrapping up their projects.

1:00 PM: Time to sing! Bring out the cake, cupcakes, or ice cream for dessert.

1:20 PM: If you’d like to open presents, this is the perfect time.

1:30 PM: Encourage everyone to clean their hands and thank your guests for coming.

1:30–1:50 PM: Time to clean up and pack up all your goodies!

The painting experience is flexible and depends on the kiddos. For canvas painting, we do our best to guide them and keep everyone on pace, but little artists often get excited and may finish quicker than expected! To keep things fun, we have some time-filler games ready for those situations. On average, painting time lasts about 45–60 minutes.
Please Note: Host parents must stay with the party at all times to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Studio Rental Fee: $150 (waived with 10 or more painters)

Tier 1 Projects: $20/person (Party Animals, Plates, Mugs, 10x10 Canvases)​

Tier 2 Projects: $30/person (Ceramic Banks or Boxes, 16x20 Canvases, Wood Signs)

Tier 3 Projects: $35/ Person Hand Building Clay Gnomes (Must be at least 8 years old. Items will be sent home with acrylics kits to paint at home)

Minimum: 6 painters (Must have at least 6 Painters)

2 hours of studio time, with 1.25 hours dedicated to painting and creating, and 45 minutes for celebration or socializing.

Birthday Plate: Purchase a $20 birthday plate that all your participants can sign—an unforgettable keepsake for the guest of honor!

Make it a glow party: We turn on the black lights and use neon paints for canvases. Additional $50 fee.
Amenities:
Refrigerator and freezer available for use—perfect for storing cake or ice cream.
Note: We do not have outlets available for crockpots or other heated appliances.​​

HOW DOES THE PARTY WORK?
For the first hour, our memory making assistant will be helping the kids with their masterpiece. After the activity is over, you may provide the kids with a snack and cake then leave the mess for us!
​
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET THE PIECES BACK?
Pottery pieces can be picked up individually or as a group and will take up to 10 days. Be sure to find out when to come back and pick up your pieces.

Canvas and wood parties get to take their projects home that day!
​

We also offer in home parties, to go kits for ceramics, and even virtual parties because let's face it.... things happen and we want to keep our painters safe!
